The newly formed CSL Reserve Division will kickoff at Esther Shiner Stadium on Monday.

Other CSL reserve teams taking part in the new division are North York Astros Reserves, Italia Shooters Reserves and Toronto Croatia Reserves and it expected more CSL teams will be added in 2009.

 There are 40 games in the schedule that runs from the first game through to Monday, October 6.

 “The addition of a Reserve Division will enable teams to have a greater number of players and will help to raise the standard of our main divisions even higher,” said CSL commissioner Cary Kaplan. “The increased player pool will provide for more development of players and will allow coaching staff a greater opportunity to take a player on trial and for a more gradual return for players coming off an injury.”
